  1. It provides data base and technical information and serves as Technical Advisory Body to Government for development of Textile Industry.

  1. It is responsible for assisting the Ministry of Industries in the formulation of the Policies to meet the objectives associated for planning of physical and fiscal targets, identify policy issues, render advice to the Government for the formulation of import / export and fiscal policy.

  1. TCO monitor Investment / Development of all Sub - Sector of Textile Industry through D.F. Is Joint Ventures - Foreign Private Investment - Suppliers Credit - P.A.Y.E and N.R.I Scheme.

  1. It keeps liaison with Development Financing Institutions, State Bank of Pakistan Lic1encing Authorities etc.

  1. It also monitors Textile Policy approved by Government.

  1. It works in continuous liaison and dialogue with industrialist and various Textile Trade Associations concerned to consider and solve their day to day and long term problems and advise the Government to find out the solution.

  1. It is also the main source of Statistical data and information about all sub-sectors of the Textile industry.

  1. Textile Commissioner's Organization has also been given additional responsibilities of Cess Collection to collect Cess from the Textile Mills all over the country for the day to day running development of National College of Textile Engineering, Faisalabad.

  1. Coordinate with all the D.F.I.'s Commercial Banks, and E.P.Z involved in the development of Textile Industry.

  1. Contribute for the improvement in production and export performance of the Textile Industry.

  1. Provides technical advice to all the Ministries, CBR, Customs on various matters for policy formulation, tariff rate on the import of machinery and raw materials and devising relief packages for Textile Industry.
